How to Dress For an Interview

The minute you step into the interviewer’s Office , it’s your personality that works without even saying a single word and right there you’re being judged. Well the dress code totally depends on the company’s environment. You can do some research on the company culture and environment where you are applying before going for an interview . The interviewer wants to see a candidate who can fit into their culture. Like if you are applying in a school or college then opt for Indian Wear. If you are applying for Corporate sectors like IT , Banking then you can wear formals or semi formals. The main motto here is just to be simple and classy. Here are some things you need to keep in mind before going for an interview:

• Wear something that you’re comfortable in , it makes you more confident.
• Don’t wear too dark or neon color, opt for decent colors. You can opt for colors like black or grey.
• Accessorize yourself in a classy manner. Keep it simple don’t be too flashy.
• Wear a watch for sure, no extra jewellery is required.
• Your hair should be well groomed and tied in a proper way.
• Wear minimal make up, you are not going for a party. Simply use Kajal and lip-gloss.
• Smell good. Don’t go for extra strong perfumes.
• Don’t forget to put your phone on silent or vibration.

WHAT YOU CAN WEAR

1. Palazzo Set

Don’t go for backless, deep necks or heavy embroidery Kurtis. The simple way is to wear a straight or A-line cotton kurtis with no extra work and a simple dupatta. You can also try simple kurti with a palazzo without dupatta.

2. Leggings with Kurti:

Here if you want to make a formal look, go for settle or light colors like baby pink, white or black colors. Don’t go for linen or georgette fabric kurtis as they will not be too formal. You can opt for Cotton or semi cotton fabrics. The material and fitting needs to be perfect as it leaves a good impression on the interviewer. The length of the kurti should not be too long or too short and should not be cut sleeves.

3. Western Wear:

You can opt for a formal trouser with a shirt or formal top, you can add blazer too. You can also choose a knee length or pencil skirt with a formal shirt with pump shoes. Again don’t go wrong with color, opt for colors like blue, black or grey.
