8 Problems Faced only by Indian Women in our Society
We are living in a society where we talk about Gender Equality or Feminism but the dark reality is that Indian women face a lot of problems and challenges in our Indian Society. When it comes to women, people are more judgmental and opinionated about them.
1. A women alone cannot go alone at night after 9 because there are people out there who will judge you and our women cannot feel safe being alone at nights.
2. Some women are still being discriminated from their own brothers , some parents still think that it’s better to spend on their son’s education rather than their daughters .
3. Women are not allowed to wear short dresses in public, even if she wears people will judge them and think she is inviting you.
4. Women are not allowed to travel alone Because “Akeli Ladki Khuli hui Tijori ki tarah hoti hai”. Parents main concern for not allowing their daughters to travel alone is because they feel she is not safe with random strangers.
5. Women gets unnecessary pressure to get married or have kids as soon as she gets married. Like really ? A women is only born to get married and have kids, they can do so much better than this. Even after marriage the pressure increases to manage work and family together.
6. They are still struggling to prove their “Individuality”.Women are struggling a lot of problems in proving themselves at work place , some women are still getting less pay than men because of the gender difference.
7. People will judge you in a minute if they see a women Drinking alcohol or smoking. We are living in a modernised world but we still think that it is ok for a man to drink but not for women.
8. Women have to be extremely careful while travelling in public transports, if someone “unknowingly” rub against their bodies. Most of the times, women can’t even speak or create a scene just because they are less in number.
