Marriage or deciding to be someone for the rest of your life is the biggest decision in anyone’s life. Whether you are opting for an arranged or love marriage you need to think twice before making any decision. Sometimes , you are in a love relationship with someone and your parents disapprove of your relationship because of any issue like caste , religion, financial conditions ,etc. Your parents think best for you and they want you to be happy forever but they are not understanding the fact that there is a generation and thinking gap and they are not understanding that the factors that they are considering are very small these days.
There are certain things that you and only are sure about it. About your compatibility with someone, where you are seeing your future and no one can take that decision on your behalf not even your parents because you have an individual perspective. Your parents can advise you about which path to choose in your life but you can learn from your mistakes only if you make them.
You need to live with your partner for the rest of your life and these days to make marriage work love, compatibility, trust and honesty are four pillars that you need.If you go with your parents choice and you decide to be with someone does not bring you happiness then what’s the point. Don’t leave the one you love because it is very hard to find true love these days and you can adjust more in love marriage as compared to arranged marriages. Just don’t let your parents feel left out , they also need to feel valued just like you value the one you love.
You need to make them feel that your partner is your life and your love will love and respect your parents too and make them a part of both your lives. It is better to live a happy life then to go for an arranged marriage with a stranger and regretting to let go of your love for the rest of your life. Once your parents see that you are happy then they will also be happy for you. That is what they want in the end – A happy and peaceful Life.
