Marriage is one big decision especially for a girl as once she gets married her entire lifestyle changes. Firstly , every girl should marry for the right reasons and not for the sake of just doing it. Secondly , if you have thought about taking this decision , then make promise to yourseld that you will do best to make it work. The first two years of any marriage are the most important and critical for the couples.

1. Be adaptive to new situations : Once you get married, a girl need to change her whole lifestyle. So be prepared for it, there will be many things that will not be according to your taste but you need to adapt it to make your marriage work, don’t say no to CHANGE.



2. Keep your In Laws Happy : Treat your in laws right and give them respect . May be they can’t take place of your parents but always remember that they are your partner’s parents and if you respect them you will gain more respect.

3. Don’t be Judgemental : Don’t be so quick to judge your in laws and husband ,take your time. Try to understand the whole scenario and then react .You can’t expect a change in a person overnight, if one has to change, they will but eventually.

4. Balance your Relationships : Once you are married, you are not only married to each other but with each other families as well. Having problems with each other families can also demolish your marriage as everyone loves their parents and they cant hear bad things about them. Treat their family as your part of the family and involve them on every occasion of your life and balance your relationships.



5. Have Patience : Patience is something you have to develop whether you have it already or not. A successful marriage need a lot of patience and strength to keep it alive. You have to deal with a lot of situations which you haven’t even thought of.

6. Forgive and Let it Go : In a marriage, people get easily hurt. So when somebody hurts your feelings, it’s a good idea to talk about it and dont let the feelings simmer on their own . Its always good for the relationship to forgive and let go of past that can hamper your relationship.
