Things to Do When you are Suffering From Depression and Anxiety

Depression, sadness, loneliness can’t be explained to anyone or ignored. You are the only one who can get out it by yourself only and have to decide that whether it will affect you or not. It is very common these days, many people are struggling through depression and feel low, but IT IS OKAY. Don’t think too much about it, life is short , live the present moment. “Change your mind and change your life”. You can also get out of it by just doing simple things:

Look for the Cause

First thing to you need to do is look for the cause, what is making you sad or depressed. Is it due to your personal relationships or your professional life or something else ? If you can find out the cause behind it , then start working on it. Nothing is impossible in this world.

Talk about it

There is nothing to be ashamed about it if you are feeling low. Talk about it to your close friends , family and relatives. They will help you to find out the solution for it. If they can’t help you, at least they will motivate you to make you feel better.



Go out for shopping

Nothing can make you happier than Shopping. Shopping will help you to boost your confidence level and you can flaunt about it to your friends as well. Plan a Holiday.Sometimes, some change is required in your daily routine life. Plan a vacation with friends on weekends. Do something adventurous that you have not done before like – go for trekking, river rafting , bungee jumping, paragliding, etc.

Maintain healthy lifestyle

Depression can make you overweight sometimes because you tend to eat and sleep more. Instead of lazing around, join gym, go for walk, do exercise , join any sport, take spa and meditation, etc will help you in gaining your confidence level and will make you fit and healthy.

Do what you love

Nothing can make you feel better if you start doing what you love. Do what makes you a better person, what you love , what you enjoy no matter what it is. Listen to your heart, it will take out all the negativity from your mind.

Say ‘NO’ to negativity

Wherever you are, get out of that place. Stop reacting to negative people, give them a dose of their own medicine just ignore them. If we think too much negative , our mind will attract more negativity, stop thinking too much and don’t react to it. Make peace not war.



Spend time with Friends and family

Go out for parties with friends, spend some quality time with your family ones. Being surrounded by your loved ones will make you feel happier and get over with loneliness. Socialize as much as you can , it will help you to lighten your mood.

Laugh More

Laughing is the best therapy and its healthy too. Watch your favourite movies , comedy shows on TV, watch anything stupid on YOUTUBE and laugh as much as you can. Even if you cannot find a reason , just do it , it’s worth it.

Listen to Music

Music is the best remedy for it. Listen to your high energy music, dancing numbers , hip hop numbers and make your feet tapping on it. It will refresh your mood like anything.
