A woman is a name of supernatural power who has aced the world with her hardworking nature and strong will. Especially, Indian women who have left their solid footprints in Sports. So, today we are going to remember some of the powerful female Indian Athlete achievers of India.

Mary Kom

Mary Kom holds the title of World Amateur Boxing Champion for 6 times while juggling between her household responsibilities and looking after her kids. This woman has held every woman’s head high by becoming the only woman to have medals from all the six championships.

Saina Nehwal

She is a young Indian badminton player who has become the first Indian woman to win a medal in badminton at the Olympic Games 2012. With her sheer dedication and hard work, she became the first Indian woman to get the No. 1 position in world rankings.



Dipa Karmakar

Dipa karmakar has been interested in gymnastics since her childhood. She is the first Indian woman athlete to qualify for Gymnastics finals in the Olympics. She is also one of the 5 people in this world who performs the death vault under gymnastic category. Karmakar has recorded the highest score on a Produnova in the world.

Mithali Raj

Mithali Raj, Indian captain of Women’s Cricket team has completed more than 20 years in International Cricket and is the only female cricketer to play ODI for such a long time.

Deepika Kumari

Archery star , Deepika Kumari recently became the the world number 1 in Archery after winning hattrick of gold at Paris World Cup 2021 at Stage 3 . She will now represent India in the Tokyo Olympics.



PV Sindhu

PV Sindhu, badminton player, created history and made India proud by winning the World Badminton Championship in 2019.She became the first Indian woman to win a silver medal at the Olympics and gold at the BWF World Championships. Currently she is ranked at number 7 worldwide.

Sania Mirza

Sania Mirza, tennis player, is one of the most popular athletes in India who have made us proud. In 2015, she became the first Indian athlete to be ranked as No. 1 in the WTA doubles rankings . She has received the prestigious Arjuna Award (2004), Padma Shri (2006) and the Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna Award in 2015.
